Social activist, Aisha Yesufu has said that the winner of the highly contested 2023 Nigerian Presidential election has been hinted through the reaction of citizens to statements made by two prominent political figures on Nigeria’s democracy day.
On Nigeria’s Democracy Day, Bola Tinubu, delivered a speech, while Peter Obi, the presidential candidate for the Labour Party in the 2023 election, engaged in a thought-provoking interview with Arise TV, discussing issues related to Nigeria.
Bola Tinubu ran alongside Peter Obi in the 2023 presidential election. However, Obi emerged as a powerful force in the election, energising voters with messages of prudence and accountability that are amplified by Citizens.
Reacting to the speech, given by both, Aisha Yesufu stated that the citizens’ response to these events has provided a unique insight into the election’s outcome.

Yesufu, known for her outspoken views on governance and democracy, pointed out that the overwhelming reaction of the populace following these speeches and interviews hinted the winner of the contested election.
Taking to her X Handle, she said, “Two people spoke yesterday and from the reaction of the citizens you know who won the 2023 election.”
Reacting to Aisha’s comment, one of her followers, @ jerry9official tweeted, ‘I remember yesterday whilst at work watching the political happenings in the country, the president’s speech came up and how I angrily stopped what I was doing to watch something else Then I got home at night and saw that Peter Obi spoke on arise and I was like Atleast I can listen to something now . “
