Cubana Chief Priest to be Prosecuted for Naira Abuse, Arrives Court for Arraignment

Pascal Okechukwu, widely recognized as Cubana Chief Priest, a businessman and socialite, has appeared at the Federal High Court in Lagos to face charges of allegedly mishandling the naira.

Cubana Chief Priest, currently in the dock, is being presented before Justice Kehinde Ogundare on three counts related to the misuse of the naira, specifically for allegedly spraying and altering the nation’s currency during a social gathering, which violates the Central Bank Act of 2007. The incident in question allegedly occurred on February 13, 2024, at Eko Hotel.

Cubana Chief Priest committed the offences while dancing during a social event.He was said to have tampered with funds in the denomination of N500 notes issued by the CBN by spraying the same for two hours.
