Customs Seize Sex Enhancement Drugs

DRUGS

The Nigerian Customs Service, through its joint border patrol team, Sector 4, has seized another consignment of sex-enhancement drugs worth N19.6 million at the Kajiji area along Sokoto-Jega Road.

Also seized were counterfeit drugs whose duty-paid values were not yet ascertained.

Addressing newsmen on the seizure on Thursday, the Coordinating Comptroller, Kolapo Oladeji, said that an informed report led to the arrest.

“These drugs are very dangerous to the health of our people,” he warned.

He also revealed that his group had successfully stopped food trucks that were crossing the Kebbi border on their way to the Niger Republic.

“Given the current state of affairs in the nation, we will do everything in our power to prevent food from being smuggled out of the country.

“We are all aware that the actions of certain Nigerians that are considered unpatriotic have caused food prices to rise significantly. Despite the ECOWAS-imposed border closures, our people are hungry, but they prefer to transport their food to other countries.

“We’ll keep tracking them and obstructing their routes. And the full force of the law will be used against anyone found guilty of this heinous act,” he declared.
