Nigeria’s Afrobeats icon, Davido, extends congratulations to South African singer Tyla for securing the top spot in the inaugural Best African Music Performance category at the 66th Grammy Awards ceremony.
Tyla’s ‘Water’ triumphed over tough competition, including Davido’s ‘Unavailable’ featuring Musa Keys, Asake and Olamide’s ‘Amapiano,’ Burna Boy’s ‘City Boys,’ and Ayra Starr’s ‘Rush.’

Although he did not clinch the award, he gracefully acknowledged Tyla’s victory on his social media platform, writing on his X handle (formerly Twitter), “Congratulations on your win @Tyllaaaaaaa! Big One for Africa! Keep soaring!”
The ‘Unavailable’ crooner expressed his support and recognition for the South African artist’s achievement.
