The White House has confirmed that deportation flights for migrants have commenced, signaling the implementation of the Trump administration’s strict immigration policies.
Karoline Leavitt, the White House spokesperson, disclosed the development on Friday through her official X account. She posted images showing detainees being loaded onto a U.S. military aircraft for deportation.
“Deportation flights have begun.
“President Trump is sending a strong and clear message to the entire world: if you illegally enter the United States of America, you will face severe consequences,” Leavitt stated in her post.
The identities and destinations of the deportees remain undisclosed, with authorities yet to provide further details.
The deportations follow an executive order signed by President Donald Trump earlier this week, suspending the Refugee Admissions Program, saying the US “lacks the ability to absorb large numbers of migrants, and in particular, refugees, into its communities”.
President Trump has also reiterated his commitment to deporting undocumented immigrants with criminal records.
In response, several Democrat-led states have filed lawsuits challenging the administration’s hardline immigration measures.
