Insecurity: Federal Housing Authority Director Freed After Terrorists Receive N40M Ransom, 7 Motorcycles, Rice, Noodles

Aondo Ver, Director at the Federal Housing Authority (FHA), who was abducted four months ago in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, has been freed.

The release followed the payment of a N40 million ransom by Ver’s family. Additionally, seven motorcycles and undisclosed quantities of 100kg rice, spaghetti, noodles, and sugar were provided to the kidnappers.

Aondo Ver was taken from his residence in February 2024, located approximately 200 meters away from a military base in Pambara Extension, Bwari area council.

The abduction occurred around 12:30 am, with the assailants firing shots indiscriminately, causing panic in the neighbourhood. The abductors fled into the nearby bush with Ver.
