VIDEO: Asari Dokubo Accuses Tinubu of Fueling Political Crisis in Rivers, Wike ‘Playing god’

Former Niger Delta warlord, Asari Dokubo, has made strong allegations against Bola Tinubu, accusing him of exacerbating the political crisis in Rivers State.

In a viral video shared on social media on Monday, Dokubo claimed that Tinubu was responsible for handing over Rivers State to former governor and current Federal Capital Territory (FCT) minister, Nyesom Wike.

“I advise my friend, Bola Tinubu; what you are doing to all Ijaw, Ikwerre people in Rivers State. You took Rivers state and gave it one man,” he said.

He claimed that Wike, is “playing god” in the current political crisis that has pitched him against his godson and Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara.

“He is now playing god. It is dead on arrival, all those things that he is doing,” Dokubo said.

In April, Fubara disclosed that the state administration had increased the monthly Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) from N12 billion, which was the amount when he assumed office, to N27 billion.

Dokubo praised this achievement as commendable, alleging that when the governor assumed office, he only had access to N6 billion.

“The governor had come out to say that the IGR for Rivers State is now N25bn up from N12bn. The governor is even being economical with the truth. When the governor came in, they were giving him a paltry sum of N6bn,” he said.
