Don’t be Carried Away by Testimonies in Ministries; They’re Fake or Lies Unless Verified — Fr Kelvin Ugwu

Fr Kelvin Ugwu, a Catholic missionary priest working in Gambia, has cautioned the public against placing faith in miracle testimonies shared in churches or ministries unless they are independently verified.

His comments come in response to viral videos of church members recounting extraordinary experiences, which have raised skepticism among social media users.

One such video features an elderly woman claiming she overpowered armed robbers in a dream, leading to their arrest.

According to her, she “miraculously gained control of their guns and ensured the arrest of three of the robbers.”

Another video depicts a man asserting that he survived a series of violent attacks without injury. This series of events raise questions and concerns about the authenticity of the miracles.

Fr Ugwu has urged individuals to regard these testimonies with suspicion and treat them as potentially false until credible verification is provided.
