Economy is Getting Worse, Everything is Hard” – Basketmouth

Nigerian comedian, Bright Okpocha popularly known as Basketmouth has voiced his concerns about the worsening economy, stating that everything is difficult and expressing doubts about the country’s future amid the hardship faced by Nigerians.

During a recent interview with AFRIMMA, the comedian expressed his frustration with the current state of economic hardship and the leadership in Nigeria.

He cited the rising inflation and depreciation of the naira from 1970 till date.

He said, “Nothing can be done, quote me anywhere. Think about it.

“In the year I was born 1970, it was one naira to a dollar but now N1600 to 1dollar.

“There was never a time from 1970 that the dollar crashed and went back to what it was. It has never happened. Every time it changes, all the conversations you will be hearing are ‘E go better, E go better.’ it is getting worse.”
