Edo Election: Be Vigilant, Oshiomhole Can’t Win Without Rigging—Sam Amadi Alleges

In the lead-up to the Edo State governorship election, Sam Amadi, the Director of the Abuja School of Social and Political Thoughts, has urged Governor Godwin Obaseki to remain vigilant.

Amadi claimed that the former governor, Adams Oshiomhole, could not secure a win without manipulating the process. Oshiomhole is strongly backing Senator Monday Okpebholo, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate.

In a post on his X (formerly Twitter) account on Thursday, Amadi advised the people of Edo to carefully monitor the actions of the Nigeria police, alleging that they are a significant source of concern.

He said: “In Edo election, the focus should not be much on @inecnigeria. In off season elections, INEC comes out well.

“The security, especially @PoliceNG is the problem. Watch them slowly.

“@GovernorObaseki should never close his eyes. Adams can’t win without rigging.”
