Finance Minister Edun Proposes N105,000 as New Minimum Wage, Submits Proposal to Tinubu

Nigeria’s Minister of Finance, Wale Edun, has proposed a new minimum wage of N105,000, which was presented to Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Thursday.

The proposed minimum wage, intended to be paid monthly to Nigerian workers, is currently under review by Tinubu. An official announcement is expected soon.

Previously, it was reported that the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC) had called for a workers’ strike due to the government’s refusal to meet their demand for a higher minimum wage of N494,000.
