In Enugu State’s capital city, fifteen alleged cyberpunks have been taken into custody by agents of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Enugu Zonal Command.
Following solid intelligence on their suspected involvement in online offenses, the EFCC announced in a post on its official X page on Friday that the suspects were taken into custody last Friday, October 20, 2023.
“Items recovered from the first fifteen victims include 30 mobile phones, one international passport, and four laptops. The suspects will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.” The statement concluded.
The names of the suspects are Casmir Ibebuogu Chizaram, Stanley Amobi, Okoro Ugonna Prince, Francis Mbaeri, Emegbusim Emmanuel Nnamdi, Chinedu Nworji, Nzube Michael, and Oranusi Chigozie Sylvester.
The other names are Ejiofor Franklin, Emegbusim Chukwuka, Nlemoha Kingsley, Chidera Peter, Chidiebube Chukwula Peter, Innocent Chukwuka Peter, and Michael Eche.
