‘He Arrived at Lagos Zonal Command’ – EFCC Confirms Bobrisky’s Arrest, to Charge Crossdresser to Court

Operatives of the Lagos Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, have officially confirmed the apprehension of Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, on charges of reportedly dispersing Naira notes.

In a statement delivered through X on Thursday, the Commission disclosed that it summoned the 31-year-old individual subsequent to a video surfacing, exhibiting him dispersing and exhibiting bundles of freshly minted Naira notes during the premiere of the movie “Ajakaju,” produced by Eniola Ajao, a notable figure in Nollywood, at Film One Circle Mall, Lekki, Lagos, on March 24, 2024.

As per the EFCC, further investigations have disclosed that he allegedly committed similar acts at various other event venues and gatherings on separate occasions.

“Following the invitation by the Commission, he arrived at the Lagos Zonal Command of the EFCC on the morning of Wednesday, April 4, 2024, for interrogation and volunteered his statements.

“He will soon be charged to court upon conclusion of investigations,” it said.
