Following the failure of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to arrest the former Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, a High Court in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Maitama, has issued a public summons for him.
The court has directed Bello to appear on October 24 to face a new 16-count charge brought against him.
Justice Maryanne Anenih issued the summons on Thursday after an application by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
The court instructed the EFCC to publish the summons in a widely circulated newspaper and to post copies at Bello’s last known address and in prominent locations within the court premises.
