A Nigerian human rights lawyer, Inibehe Effiong has taken a bold step to offer legal services to any protester who may be arrested or charged to court during the forthcoming peaceful protest.
Effiong has taken to his X handle on Thursday to disclose the information.
He wrote, “We are putting together a legal team in Lagos State to offer representation to any protester who may be arrested and or charged to court during the forthcoming peaceful protest.”
He further called on fellow legal practitioner in Lagos to join him in his stand by sending their WhatsApp number to him in order to achieve the desired result.
“My learned colleagues practicing in Lagos, please share your WhatsApp number with me via DM if you would love to offer pro bono services to protesters.”
He thanked them in advance and promised that history will vindicate the just.
“Thank you. History will vindicate the just,” he said.
