Ekiti Bolsters Healthcare Productivity, Allocates Work Tools Worth Millions

In a bid to boost the productivity and efficiency of healthcare workers across Ekiti State, the administration of Governor Biodun Oyebanji has announced the allocation of work tools worth millions of naira to deserving recipients.

During a distribution ceremony held in Ado Ekiti, the Commissioner for Health and Human Services, Dr. Oyebanji Filani, explained the profound impact of these tools on elevating productivity and enhancing service quality within the state’s healthcare sector.

The array of distributed items includes 35 state-of-the-art laptop computers, 30 cutting-edge mobile tablets, a life-sized medical mannequin designed for training purposes, 4 video transmitters and receivers, and a staggering 30,000 Ulerawa cards.

The allocation encompasses maternal care tools, RCM manuals, Information Education and Communication materials, 3-in-1 printers, and 58 Anti-Shock garments.

Notable dignitaries in attendance at the event included the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Health and Human Services, Mrs. Olusola Gbenga-Igotun, Executive Secretary of the State Primary Health Care Development Agency, Dr. Ayodele Seluwa, and the General Manager of the Ekiti State Health Insurance Scheme, Dr. Charles Doherty.

They noted that the distribution of these critical tools was tailored to meet the specific needs of each healthcare office and its personnel.

The recipients of these invaluable work tools encompass a wide range of entities, including Local Government Monitoring and Evaluation officers, logistics officers, Ulerawa program personnel stationed at selected Public Health Centers across the state, the Reproductive Health Unit, State Primary Health Care Development Agency, three Tertiary Hospitals, 22 secondary healthcare facilities, and two Public Health Centers within each local government area.

Speaking on behalf of the recipients, Mrs. Bade-Gboyaga, representing the Comprehensive Health Centre in Okesa, Ado-Ekiti, expressed profound gratitude to the Oyebanji-led administration for its unwavering commitment to providing these essential work tools and prioritizing the welfare of healthcare workers throughout the state.
