The Ekiti State Polytechnic, Isan Ekiti, has banned tattered jeans, rubber slippers, sagging trousers, body tattoos, wearing earrings among males, hair colouring and other similar practices on campus.
This was disclosed by the Rector of the institution, Prof. Kayode Adesodun, on Monday, during the fourth matriculation exercise for new entrants in the institution.
In his words, “The polytechnic encourages all students to dress in accordance with accepted standards, while any inappropriate exposure of body parts will be met with strict sanctions.

“Wearing tattered or overly casual jeans, rubber slippers, sagging trousers, body tattoos, earrings for males, hair colouring, and other similar practices are strictly prohibited on campus and will result in serious sanctions.
He further added, “The security unit has been authorised to apprehend offenders for necessary action.”
Speaking also to the returning and old stuudents, Kayode advised them to stay away from anti social and clandestine group stressing that anyone found in such involvement will be expelled and handed over to the security agencies.
