Mohammed Bello El-Rufai, son of former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El Rufai, has called Reno Omokri a “stupid dog” and referred to the presidential spokesperson, Bayo Onanuga, as “a scum in response to ongoing attacks on his family.
The inflammatory remarks came amid a series of personal criticisms directed at the El-Rufai family, leading to a heated exchange on social media.
In the now deleted tweet, El-Rufai’s son, visibly frustrated by the attacks, took to X to express his anger.
This incident follows a series of exchanges between El-Rufai and Omokri. Omokri, a former aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, has previously referred to El-Rufai as the “Butcher of Kaduna,” criticizing his tenure as governor.
In the post, Omokri claimed that Kaduna has become more peaceful since El-Rufai left office.
He wrote, “Look at how peaceful Kaduna State has been since the Butcher of Kaduna left office as Governor! Or am I lying?”
El-Rufai has previously labeled Omokri as “a political mercenary retained by any paying person or government.” He also referenced past allegations against Omokri, including an identity theft case where an American woman accused Omokri of impersonation to discredit Nigeria’s former Central Bank Governor, Lamido Sanusi.
