LG Election: Labour Party Secures Highest Votes Without Candidate in Bauchi

In Bauchi State, the Labour Party received the highest number of votes in the Bogoro councillorship election for Lusa B Ward, despite not having a candidate.

As a result, the Bauchi State Independent Electoral Commission (BSIEC) declared Lucy Ahmadu Yusuf, the candidate from the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who came in second, as the winner and newly elected councillor for Lusa B Ward.

Announcing the results at the Bogoro collation centre, the returning officer, Daniel Gambo, reported that the Labour Party, without a candidate, secured 2,200 votes, while PDP’s Lucy Ahmadu Yusuf followed closely with 2,168 votes.

The candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Mbam Masoyi, came in third in the election with 275 votes.
