Jigawa State Governor, Malam Umar Namadi has emphasised the role of prayer in overcoming the current hardships faced by Nigerians during the official flagging-off of a food distribution initiative at Aminu Kano Triangle, Dutse.
Addressing pressing national issues, the governor highlighted the significance of spiritual solutions, urging citizens to embrace collective prayer efforts, particularly during the month of Ramadan.
He articulated, “In times of difficulty, our faith and prayers can serve as a powerful force for positive change.
“I urge citizens to embrace a collective prayer effort, especially during the month of Ramadan to navigate through these tough times,” he added.
While acknowledging practical measures taken by both the state and federal governments to address economic and social issues, he emphasized the transformative impact of faith.

The state commissioner for special duties, Auwalu Sankara, disclosed that substantial support is being provided, including the distribution of 150,000 bags of rice, 150,000 bags of maize, and 100,000 cartons of spaghetti.
This assistance aims to benefit approximately 648,000 individuals, alleviating the hardships caused by inflation and the removal of subsidies.
