Katsina residents gathered on Tuesday at the Katsina Arabic Teachers College Playground and three other open spaces in the state capital, seeking divine intervention against the ongoing economic hardship, insecurity, and poor governance affecting the country.
During the widely attended prayers, which saw participation from all genders and were held under tight security, residents conducted themselves peacefully.
The participants prayed for Almighty Allah to end the economic hardship, hunger, insecurity, and poor governance, along with other challenges facing the country.
They also asked Allah to remove individuals linked to these problems, including politicians, traditional leaders, businesspeople, security personnel, clerics, and others.
