In bid to bolster the ranks of the Nigeria Police Force, the Enugu State Government has urged Enugu youths to consider a career in law enforcement.
The appeal was made by Aka Eze Aka, the Commissioner for Information and Communication, who noted a lack of enthusiasm among Enugu citizens to join the police force.
The Commissioner emphasised the importance of having more people from Enugu State enlisted into the Nigeria Police Force as Police Constables.
“The need to have our people recruited into the Force cannot be overstated,” he emphasised.
This appeal comes as the Nigeria Police Force opens its online recruitment portal for the year 2023. The recruitment board announced that the online application portal would be accessible for a period of six weeks, starting from October 15.
Mr Aka further advised that interested and eligible individuals from Enugu should seize this opportunity to serve their country by applying for the available positions.
Prospective applicants are encouraged to visit the official recruitment portal at www.apply.policerecruitment.gov.ng to submit their applications.
The recruitment drive is open to all Nigerian citizens, both male and female, who are of good character.
