In a major face-off, Enyimba FC triumphed over Sunshine Stars with a hard-fought 1-0 win, securing a vital three points and solidifying their 4th place in the NPFL standings.
Coach Finidi George, praised his Enyimba FC team’s unwavering resilience amidst a taxing fixture.
“Yeah, I must commend my boys, playing these games in a very short time is very hectic. It’s not easy,” acknowledged Coach George in a post-game press briefing.
The coach emphasized the toll of the congested schedule, revealing, “In three days, we played two games. In the last 14 days, I think we played, I think, four or five matches. It’s a lot.”
Facing the challenge of player fatigue, George disclosed, “Some players are really tired. We give them at least a day off so that they will get us prepared for Wednesday’s match.” Despite the weariness, the coach expressed his satisfaction with the hard-earned victory, stating, “I must take that victory any day, any time.”
