Nigeria vs Libya: I Expected More Goals — Eguavoen Responds to Super Eagles’ 1-0 win

Super Eagles interim head coach, Augustine Eguavoen, has shared his thoughts on Nigeria’s 1-0 victory against Libya in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match on Friday.

The game, held at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, saw Fisayo Dele-Bashiru score the decisive goal in the 90th minute.

Eguavoen expressed satisfaction with the win but noted his expectation of more goals, given Libya’s defensive approach throughout the match.
