The former Minister of Education, Oby Ezekwesili, has warned African leaders to avoid pushing their citizens to the breaking point.
Ezekwesili stated that African leaders should prioritize the well-being of their citizens and govern with foresight and empathy to prevent social upheaval and ensure sustainable development.
In a post on her X handle, She stated, “It is unwise as a leader to push your citizens to the point where they say, ‘Enough is simply now enough’.

“According to Proverbs, “Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore, get wisdom. And in all your getting, get understanding”.
“Will Hubris allow the contemporaries of Kenyan politicians in Nigeria and the rest of the continent to learn the right lesson from recent events?
“I won’t bet on it… because wisdom is the principal thing,” she concluded.
