The father of the six kidnapped daughters, Monsur Al-kadriyar, shared the nightmarish experience he and his six daughters endured during the abduction.
Recounting the harrowing incident, Al-kadriyar disclosed that the kidnappers communicated in both Hausa and Yoruba languages.
In an exclusive interview with Arise TV, he shared the harrowing details of their unimaginable ordeal.
Al-kadriyar detailed the sequence of events that unfolded that evening. The armed robbers, later identified as terrorists, arrived at their residence.
Despite their uncompleted building, the family had recently moved in. Al-kadriyar, having anticipated trouble, alerted his wife and called his brother for help.
As the armed individuals forcefully entered, they demanded money in Hausa, and Al-Kadriyar, acknowledging his inability to provide the requested amount, offered them anything valuable. Subsequently, the family was led out of the community.
The family was taken on foot by the abductors, who engaged in a firefight with the police. During the journey, they occasionally rested in the bush for 30 minutes or more.
After approximately eight agonizing hours, the family found themselves in an unknown and desolate location, with no trace, pursuit, or timely rescue.
Upon reaching the terrorist camp, Al-Kadriyar engaged in negotiations with the leader, who continued to communicate in Hausa while bargaining their ransom.
In an excerpt from the video of the interview, Al-Kadriyar narrated,”By By 7:00 p.m. from town, I moved in straight to observe my evening prayer; thereafter, I sat at the sitting room, just for me to relax, but I was not feeling ok, I was feeling very weak. I had to take my dinner, and I asked my daughter to prepare pap for me, I couldn’t even take the pap. I had to rest at the bedroom, pressing my phone and I told my wife that I’m not strong and I don’t know what’s happening.
“After some time, I dosed off. The next thing I heard was a noise of someone banging at the gate and I’m sure that my kids where in their various rooms. I asked my kids, who was banging the gate? They said that they don’t know. I stood up, though our house is an uncompleted building anyway, I just fixed about three rooms, just for us to move in and we just moved in not up to two months now.
“I had to peep and saw one one man standing by the main gate, it’s from there, I noticed that they are armed robbers(terrorist). I have already made up my mind of they come, there is no problem. I had to notify my wife, my children had already locked up their various rooms, I went into my room switched off the light. I picked my phone to see who I will call, any neighbors around, I was confused. Along the line I organized myself and called my brother and I told him that we are being attacked.

“Within 15 minutes, I called back and my brother told me that he was close; so I relaxed. The guys (terrorist) came with full force pulled the window and broke the glasses. I had nothing than to surrender myself to them. I asked them, what is it that you need? Whatever you need come in. I came out Opened the door and one of them asked me in Hausa language, Ina kudi ! Ina kudi and I looked at him and told that I don’t have money, but if you see anything that is good for you pack it. They searched everywhere and later marched me and my children out.
“There intention was to lead us out of the community, though I hoped that my brother will coke with police or security agencies and rescue us. My brother led the police to my community. When they robbers saw the Police light, they asked us to lie down so as to hide away from the police. They exchanged with the police using their gun. Later on, the police reversed, probably they have shot one of the security agencies.
“On our way to Their camp, I tried to make friend with one of them. One of the terrorist speaking yoruba asked me if I have money? While another speaking Hausa asked me to get three million and I responded, where will I get such amount from that I’m a civil servant, I was slapped severally.”
