Kayode Peters, the acclaimed Nigerian film and stage producer, has died in Canada. His passing was confirmed on Friday by comedian Steve Onu, popularly known as Yaw, who spoke to Peoples Gazette.
“Yes, he is,” Yaw said when asked to confirm the producer’s death. “I am still trying to speak with his brother, but he is not picking.”

Mr. Peters was widely recognized for his contributions to Nigeria’s entertainment industry, particularly in theatre and television.
