Fire Engulfs World Bank Project Office in Yobe

A devastating fire has razed the Damaturu, Yobe State coordination office of the Multi-Sectoral Crisis Recovery Project (MCRP), a World Bank-assisted program.

Eyewitnesses reported that the fire erupted along Potiskum Road around 12:40 pm on Sunday.

As of now, the coordination office has not released an official statement regarding the cause of the fire outbreak.

Firefighters from the Yobe State Fire Service were swift in their response, battling the flames to prevent further destruction. The extent of the damage to the coordination center is yet to be fully assessed.

The Multi-Sectoral Crisis Recovery Project, aimed at addressing various challenges in the region, now faces setbacks due to this unexpected incident.
