A fire outbreak has destroyed the Samsung office and a nearby petrol station at Banex Plaza, a major commercial centre in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) of Nigeria.
The cause of the fire is still unknown as at press time. However, eyewitness account confirmed there was a loud explosion before the flames engulfed the Samsung Office building.
It also spread to a filling station located adjacent to the plaza, causing panic among residents and motorists in the area.
The Federal Fire Service and the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) were on the scene to combat the inferno and evacuate the victims.
No casualties have been reported so far, but the extent of the damage is yet to be ascertained.
This is the second fire incident in Abuja in less than 48 hours.

Recall fire earlier gutted the Canadian High Commission at the Central Business District in the FCT.
The fire incidents have raised security concerns in the city, especially after the British Government issued a warning of possible attacks on hotels and other public places in Abuja last week.
