Our First Attack Was Warning, We Can Target Tel Aviv, Israel’s Ports — Iran Foreign Minister

Iran Foreign Minister

Iran’s Foreign Minister, Hossein Amir-Abdullahi, issued a warning stating that the initial attack on Israel served as a cautionary measure.

Speaking with NBC News‘ Tom Llamas on the sidelines of the United Nations Security Council in the United States, Amir-Abdullahi emphasized Iran’s capability to target major Israeli cities such as Tel Aviv and Haifa, along with its economic ports.

He clarified that Iran’s intent was strictly military and aimed to avoid civilian casualties. However, he cautioned that any significant attack on Iran by Israel would result in immediate and maximum retaliation.

He stated, “We could have hit Haifa and Tel Aviv.

“We could have also targeted all the economic ports of Israel.

“But our red lines were civilians.

“We only had a military purpose.

“As long as there is no new adventurism by Israel against our interests, then we are not going to have any new reactions.

“If Israel takes decisive action against my country, this is proven to us.

“Our response will be immediate and to the maximum and will cause them to regret it.”

Amir-Abdullahi also downplayed recent attacks on Iran, likening the weapons used to children’s toys.

The remarks follow Iran’s retaliatory actions against Israel for an earlier attack in April 1 in Damascus, Syria, although the Foreign Minister did not confirm Israeli involvement in the recent incidents.

He added, “What happened last night was not a strike.

“They were more like toys that our children play with – not drones.”
