A rare strain of flu, similar to viruses found in pigs, has been detected in a UK resident for the first time.
The individual, who experienced mild symptoms and has since fully recovered, was identified through routine surveillance.
Public health officials are currently tracing the close contacts of the affected person to determine the source of the infection.
