Alia and Tinubu

Governor Hyacinth Alia of Benue State has credited Chief Bola Ahmed Tinubu for all the achievements his administration has recorded in the past year.

Speaking on Friday during a thank you tour in the Makurdi/Guma Federal Constituency, Governor Alia highlighted that the construction of roads and underpasses, payment of salaries, pensions, and gratuities, and the remodelling of the state assembly complex and secretariat were all made possible through the support of Tinubu.

Governor Alia emphasized that Tinubu had provided significant backing, urging the people of Benue State to remain patient as Tinubu has “very good intentions for the citizenry.”

During his speech, Governor Alia also announced plans to renovate and upgrade the Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida (IBB) Square in Makurdi to international standards, noting that the current facilities, constructed over 30 years ago, were outdated and required urgent attention.

His administration has constructed 16 townships and built underpasses in Makurdi and Gboko.

Furthermore, Governor Alia stated that going forward, the payment of salaries and pensions would commence from the 22nd of each month.
