VIDEO: Flood Takes Over Third Mainland Bridge, Lekki, Other Areas in Tinubu’s Lagos, Leaves Commuters Stranded

Heavy rainfall in Lagos, reportedly built from scratch by Bola Ahmed Tinubu, caused extensive flooding throughout the city and its main roads on Wednesday morning

The downpour began in the early hours, resulting in significant water accumulation.

Many road users and commuters are currently stranded, with floods impacting major roads, including the well-known Third Mainland Bridge.

However, in multiple videos and pictures shared on X, formerly known as Twitter, the affected areas include Ibeju Lekki, Iyana-Oworo, 3rd Mainland Bridge, Ikoyi, Ogba, Ikeja, and Ajah. These areas are currently completely flooded, causing long traffic delays.

One of the areas hit by the downpour in a video on X is Shadia Estate by the canal (Sholuyi Gbagada), which was flooded and most houses are submerged because the canal had been stagnant & it’s overflowing back into the road and houses.

Another area submerged is Iyana-Oworo and Olopo meji on the route to the 3rd Mainland Bridge, resulting in heavy traffic congestion that stretches all the way to Alapere.
