David Cameron has assumed the role of Foreign Secretary in a recent cabinet reshuffle at Downing Street.
The former Prime Minister was appointed to the position by Rishi Sunak, the current Prime Minister, earlier today.
Cameron expressed his willingness to accept the offer, despite acknowledging his disagreements with some of Sunak’s decisions.
Cameron lauded his new boss, describing Rishi Sunak as a “strong and capable Prime Minister who is demonstrating exemplary leadership during challenging times.”
He expressed his commitment to supporting Sunak in delivering the security and prosperity that the country needs, and to be an integral part of a formidable team that serves the United Kingdom, especially as the nation prepares for the upcoming general election.

It’s worth noting that David Cameron is no longer an elected politician, having stepped down as a Member of Parliament in 2016.
His decision to call for the Brexit referendum and campaign to remain in the European Union ended in defeat. Nevertheless, the government has announced that Cameron will enter the House of Lords as a life peer, granting him the opportunity to serve as a minister once again.
The announcement follows the dismissal of Suella Braverman from her position as Home Secretary.
Braverman had faced widespread criticism for an article she authored in The Times, in which she accused the police of showing favoritism toward left-wing groups over right-wing and national activists.
