In the wake of the Supreme Court’s pivotal judgment on the 2023 election, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar is poised to hold a press conference on Monday, making it a third in recent times.
Atiku will address important national issues during the news conference that will be held at the opposition party’s national secretariat in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, according to a statement from the PDP national publicity secretary’s office.
This press conference will be Atiku’s inaugural public address since the Supreme Court dismissed his petition against Bola Tinubu. The court also declined to entertain fresh evidence of alleged forgery against Tinubu.
Atiku made a notable public appearance at the National Mosque in Abuja, a mere 24 hours after the Supreme Court’s judgment. His previous public engagement was a press conference held at the Yar’Adua Center in Abuja.
The upcoming press conference is anticipated to provide clarity on Atiku’s position following the Supreme Court’s decision. It also presents an opportunity for him to engage with his supporters and address the nation.
As it stands, Atiku has yet to officially respond to the judgment. The forthcoming press conference is being keenly awaited by political observers and citizens alike, as it is expected to elucidate his political path in light of this significant legal development.
