#FreeDeleFarotimi: How DSS Operatives Escorted Political Thugs to Attack Protesters at Ekiti Court During Farotimi’s Trial

Some personnel of the Nigerian secret police, the Department of State Services (DSS) were captured in videos on Tuesday escorting political thugs to attack protesters in Ekiti State during trial of the human rights lawyer, Dele Farotimi.

According to report, on Tuesday, suspected political thugs allegedly mobilised by the Ekiti State government and legal luminary, Afe Babalola, SAN, had gathered around the Magistrate Court premises, allegedly intimidating those in attendance.

Videos obtained by SaharaReporters on Tuesday showed a coaster bus carrying people suspected to political thugs arriving at the Magistrate Court and accompanied by DSS Operatives in a white Toyota Hilux Van.

Recall that on on Tuesday that the Magistrate Court in Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State, reserved its ruling and adjourned the bail application of human rights lawyer, Dele Farotimi, to Friday, December 20, 2024.

The ruling means Farotimi despite the growing public outcry will remain in custody for another 10 days, prolonging his wait for justice and freedom.
