Freedom of Speech Does Not Exist in Nigeria; I Have Been Harassed Many Times —Peter Obi

The Presidential candidate of Labour Party, LP, Mr. Peter Obi has stated that freedom of speech does not exist in Nigeria.

In an interview programme on Arise TV, Obi recounted how he has been harassed countless times.

Obi also lamented that there are many people being detained for saying one thing or the other.

His words,” Even me I have been harassed many times, there’s no freedom of speech in Nigeria and you know that.

“And I can tell you that there are so many people who are being detained in one place or the other because they have made one statement or anything.

“That doesn’t exist. When you say that exist. When you go for an exam and you score 10%, is that fair?

“I’m just giving you the real measure of democracy, we’ve failed in all of them, so it doesn’t exist.”
