Documents obtained from GovSpend have revealed a significant controversy surrounding the award of a contract worth over 500 million naira to “BeckyBliss Nigeria Ltd” for the renovation and furnishing of the Inspector-General of Police (IGP) guest house in Maitama, Abuja.
The contract, dated December 7, 2023, has sparked public outcry following allegations that the company is linked to a prominent relationship blogger.
According to findings by a concerned Nigerian, known as Harry on X platform, detailed in a post titled “Contract worth over 500 Million Naira to ‘Relationship Blogger,’” BeckyBliss Nigeria Ltd is reportedly owned by Rebecca Omokamo Godwin, also known as Bilikisu Ishaku Aliu.
It is alleged that Rebecca Omokamo Godwin has connections to IGP Egbetokun, who owns the guest house earmarked for renovation and furnishing.
The controversy deepened as it was disclosed that Rebecca Omokamo Godwin had been seen with Chief Bola Tinubu in Qatar, raising questions about potential conflicts of interest in the awarding of the lucrative government contract.
His words,”Documents obtained from GovSpend, shows that on the 7th of December 2023, “BeckyBliss Nigeria Ltd” received a combined amount of 500+ million naira for the “renovation and furnishing of the IGP guest house, Maitama Abuja”.
“Further checks revealed “BeckyBliss Nigeria Ltd” is owned by REBECCA OMOKAMO GODWIN also bears another name BILIKISU ISHAKU ALIU.
“Rebecca Omokamo Godwin or Bilikisu Ishaku Aliu was with Tinubu in Qatar. She strangely happens to be a friend of IGP Egbetokun, who owns the guest house that was budgeted to be renovated and furnished by BeckyBliss Nigeria Limited,” he added.
