Fuel scarcity has hit Kaduna residents hard, with motorists compelled to purchase fuel for as much as N1,100 per liter from black market vendors.
Reports indicate that numerous commuters were left stranded on their way to work and other destinations due to the scarcity, with only a handful of commercial operators offering services.
Most filling stations either had no fuel or had inflated prices ranging from N750 to N810 per liter, leading to long queues of vehicles.
One resident, Mohammed Amin, recounted purchasing two liters of fuel for a staggering N2,200 and expressed considering abandoning his vehicle for public transportation if the situation persisted.

A commuter, Amina Isa, shared her experience of waiting for three hours without finding a ride, eventually paying N300 for a trip that usually cost N100. Similarly, Moses Joseph paid double the usual fare for his journey.
Mrs. Anna Yohanna also had to pay an inflated fare for her bus ride.
