Wasiu Ayinde, also known as Kwam1 De, is a Nigerian “Fuji” singer who boasted in a leaked tape of a phone conversation with Bola Tinubu that he cannot “suffer” in Nigeria as long as Tinubu is in office and he (Ayinde) is still “omo Asiwaju.”
In the video, Wasiu boasted while on the phone with Tinubu, who had phoned to offer his condolences for his mother’s passing.
Ayinde’s mother, Alhaja Halima Anifowoshe, was previously said to have died.
The public had been informed of her death on Saturday morning by K1’s official media outlet.
A touching snapshot of K1 with his late mother at a loving moment was included with the news.
The artist from Fuji also lost one of his wives, Alhaja Hafsat Anifowoshe, a few days prior to the death of his mother.

In the phone call, Ayinde said, “She went to meet her sister in heaven; they will meet themselves there and be holding meetings.”
President Tinubu, offering words of comfort, in Yoruba said: “You will live long; God will not let you suffer.”
Responding, Wasiu said, “Since you are there, how can I suffer? You are my father, the president of a country. I cannot suffer — not in this Nigeria that you control.”
Tinubu, who took office in May 2023, is still under fire for the economic issues that millions of Nigerians are facing, including as inflation and the elimination of subsidies, which have put a burden on household incomes.
