Fulani youths in Karu Local Government Area of Nasarawa State have expressed their discontent over the continued detention of Alhaji Abdullahi Bello Bodejo, the president of Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore.
Bodejo’s confinement is reportedly linked to his role in establishing the Nomad Vigilante Group, a quasi-security outfit.
During a meeting chaired by Shuaibu Abubakar in Uke, the youths conveyed a sense of betrayal, emphasising Bodejo’s significant contributions to the electoral success of Chief Bola Tinubu and other candidates in the 2023 general elections.
Calling on Tinubu to intervene and secure Bodejo’s release, the youths highlighted his positive intentions for Nigeria. Abubakar, the meeting’s convener, stated, “We appeal to Tinubu to intervene on the matter and ensure the release of Bodejo from detention. Our leader means well and has good intentions for Nigeria.”
While endorsing the establishment of the Nomad Vigilante Group to enhance the country’s security framework and promote lasting prosperity, the Fulani youths urged all levels of government to embrace the initiative to safeguard lives and property.
Abubakar underscored the peaceful nature of the Fulani people, suggesting that their restraint prevented potential protests across major cities in the country.

“We appeal to the government at all levels to support the initiative to guarantee the security of lives and property in the country. Without the peaceful disposition of the Fulani people, major cities across the country might have witnessed protests,” Abubakar added.
The Nomad Vigilante Group was inaugurated on January 17 in Lafia, Nasarawa State‘s capital, with representatives from security agencies and key stakeholders.
