According to law enforcement, the suspect allegedly laced a toxic mixture, believed to include brownie cakes, alcohol, and an unidentified harmful substance, which he then offered to his girlfriend during her visit to his residence in the Surulere community of the Camp area in the city last Friday.

Reports by PUNCH indicate that Mmasichukwu had invited her schoolmate, Semilore, to accompany her to Ayomide’s place.

Subsequent to consuming the suspected poisonous substance, both victims lost consciousness, prompting an urgent rush to the hospital for medical attention.

The motive behind Ayomide’s actions remains unclear at this time. However, preliminary investigations suggest that the suspect may have had an intention to cause harm to the victims, as revealed by the police.
