The controversial singer, Eedris Abdulkareem, has again tackled Bola Tinubu for introducing genetically modified organism (GMO) crops into the country.
Abdulkareem expressed his concerns, citing potential health risks such as cancer linked to GMOs.
Recall that on June 18, Nigeria’s federal government introduced the TELA maize, a genetically modified organism (GMO) variety, aimed at enhancing and boosting maize production in the country.
Abdulkareem, in an interview with Sahara Reporters on Friday, revealed that the supposed GMO, aimed at enhancing and boasting maize, causes cancer.
He challenged Tinubu for neglecting terrorists and bandits who oppress farmers.
In his words, “Terrorism has taken over our farms and farmers can’t go to farm anymore. Farmers are now paying bandits and terrorists money to farm, which is a very sad situation.
“To cap it all, instead of Tinubu bringing out all his security men and sending them to the North to go and tackle this terrorism and these banditries, Tinubu is now signing into law GMO (Genetic Modified Organism).

“GMO! Even the white people who created it with their innovation, are running away from it because it’s causing cancer and killing their citizens.
“So now you bring it to Nigerians to come and kill Nigerians?
“Nigerians who are just hustling to make their money—no electricity, no water, no proper infrastructure, no food roads, nothing!
“They’re just struggling with their lives; they’ve been pushed to the wall; they’re just struggling to survive. Do you want to add to their problems?
“Where are they going to get money to go to the hospital to treat cancer? You and I know what GMO means?
“Dad and mum, Papa and Mama, wey no dey understand wetin I dey try talk, if una go market, make una dey careful.”
