Gov Adeleke Signs N273bn 2024 Budget into Law

Governor Ademola Adeleke has officially enacted the 2024 budget, committing to its comprehensive execution for the betterment of the state.

The approved budget amounts to a total of Two Hundred and Seventy-Three Billion, Nine Hundred and Eight Million, Nine Hundred and Ninety-Seven Thousand Naira and Four Hundred and Ten Kobo (273,908,997,410).

In a brief statement following the signing of the appropriation bill, Governor Adeleke underscored the significance of the “Budget of Reconstruction and Recovery,” designed to accelerate the revitalization of diverse sectors within the state’s economy.

“Our primary objective is to steer the state toward sustainable development, and as such, we are dedicated to rebuilding key sectors such as education, health, sports, roads, agriculture, the creative industry, digital economy, general infrastructure, as well as implementing targeted programs and policies for women and youth,” Governor Adeleke affirmed.

The Governor expressed appreciation for the State Assembly’s swift processing of the appropriation bill and commended his team for their collaboration with various assembly committees throughout the budgetary process.

While officially endorsing the bill, Governor Adeleke emphasized, “We are committed to the stipulated implementation process to reconstruct society and ensure the recovery of critical sectors.”
