The newly inaugurated Governor of Edo State, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has expanded his cabinet with additional appointments.
Okpebholo has appointed Barrister Musa Ikhilor as the Secretary to the State Government (SSG).
This announcement follows his swearing-in on Tuesday and comes just one day after he named Fred Itua as his Chief Press Secretary.
Dr. Samson Osagie, a former federal lawmaker, has been nominated for the position of Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice in the state.
Additionally, Dr. Cyril Oshiomhole, son of former Governor Adams Oshiomhole, has been nominated as Commissioner for Health. The elder Oshiomhole, currently serving as Senator for Edo North in the National Assembly, played a key role in Governor Okpebholo’s election victory.

According to a press statement from the governor’s Chief Press Secretary (CPS), the nominations of Osagie and Oshiomhole will be sent to the Edo State House of Assembly for confirmation by Governor Okpebholo.
