Governor Alex Otti has sworn in 17 Transition Council Chairmen and their deputies to spearhead progress across Abia’s 17 LGAs.
The governor commended their selection by stakeholders and urged them to prioritize community welfare. Expressing gratitude, Governor Otti acknowledged the State House of Assembly, Labour Party leaders, and the people of Abia for their support in the selection process.
He emphasized a collective effort to build “a better society where the riches of the land are deployed in honest service.” Governor Otti reminded the new leaders that their role is a “call to serve and not to be served.”

Aligning programs with the administration’s development philosophy is crucial. “Our priority at all times must be the security and welfare of our people,” he asserted.
Addressing safety concerns, the governor highlighted collaboration with stakeholders to guarantee life and property’s safety. Simultaneously, several infrastructural projects aim to enhance citizens’ quality of life. The administration seeks active collaboration for their vision of expanding development in Abia.
