The President of the Association of Residents Doctors, FCTA, George Ebong, has called for government officials to use local hospitals as a step towards transforming Nigeria’s public health sector.
Appearing on Channels Television’s Politics Today program on Wednesday, Dr. Ebong stated that compelling government officials to patronize public health facilities is the only way to ensure meaningful reforms.
He stated, ”If we are ready to fix the health care system in this country, I would think every government official should use the government hospitals.
“I would want to see the ministers use Wuse General Hospital. I would love to see the Senate President use the Maitama hospital.”
