The event will celebrate the best achievements in the music industry from the past year, and will feature performances from some of the biggest names in the global music scene.

Among the nominees and performers for the 2024 Grammy Awards are five talented Nigerian artists who have made waves in the international music market with their unique sounds and styles. They are Davido, Burna Boy, Ayra Starr, Asake, and Olamide.

Davido and Burna Boy are both nominated for the Best Global Music Performance award, a category that recognizes new vocal or instrumental global music recordings. Davido is nominated for his song “FEEL”, while Burna Boy is nominated for his song “Alone”. Both artists have previously been nominated for the same category in the past years, with Burna Boy winning it in 2021 for his album “Twice As Tall”.

Ayra Starr, Asake, and Olamide are nominated for the Best African Music Performance award, a new category that was added this year by the Recording Academy to honor the best vocal or instrumental African music recordings. Ayra Starr is nominated for her song “Rush”, Asake and Olamide are nominated for their collaboration “Amapiano”, and Olamide is also nominated for his song “City Boys”.

The Nigerian artists will also grace the stage with their electrifying performances, showcasing their diverse genres and influences, such as Afrobeats, Afro-fusion, Afro-pop, and Afro-soul. They will join other acclaimed artists from different parts of the world, such as Beyoncé, Drake, Adele, BTS, and Taylor Swift, who are also nominated and performing at the 2024 Grammy Awards.

The 2024 Grammy Awards will be broadcast live on CBS and Paramount+ at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT. The event will be hosted by comedian and actor Trevor Noah, who returns for his second consecutive year as the master of ceremonies. The event promises to be a night of glamour, excitement, and musical excellence, as the world celebrates the power and diversity of music.
