Saleh Alhassan Kubah, the national secretary of Miyetti Allah, has responded to Nyesom Wike’s threat regarding the movement of cows within the city center in Abuja. Kubah questioned the feasibility of banning open grazing in Abuja, asking rhetorically, “Where is the grazing land in Abuja? Is it inside the buildings they will graze?”
He dismissed the FCT Minister as inconsequential and accused him of needing to consume ‘Ogogoro’, a local alcoholic drink, before going to his office every morning.
Kubah further stated that Wike should focus on delivering services in the FCT and dealing with the issue of massive abandoned buildings. He urged Wike to collect taxes from all those houses nobody is occupying and to develop the city.
He also called on Wike to take care of the indigenous people who have been neglected, particularly the Gwari people. He further challenged the minister to develop the rural areas and satellite towns and provide them with amenities.
Kubah reminded Wike that power is transient and that he will leave office soon. He also addressed the issue of cows in the northern geography, stating that cows are part of the beauty of the northern geography.
He argued that people who want to eat cows but don’t want to see them are contradictory. Finally, Kubah urged Wike to handle the issues of insecurity in Abuja, asserting that Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore is not and will never be his problem.
