Nigerians faced widespread darkness on Wednesday following yet another collapse of the national power grid.
The reports show that the has failed 11 times between January and November 2024 alone.
In October, the grid collapsed three times in just one week, plunging the nation into repeated blackouts and drawing heated reactions from citizens.
A tweet from the official handle of Nigeria’s National Grid confirmed the latest collapse, noting that it occurred at approximately 2:09 p.m. on Wednesday.

This collapse makes it a historic 12 times in a year that the electricity has collapsed.
“The major setback has occurred and the restoration is to commence,” the handler wrote.
